Do not accept free or promotional drives. You do not know the origin of these devices
Limit your use of removeable media
When looking to protect any data you place on a removable device:
- Erase any data and reformat the removable device once a secure transfer has taken place
- Encrypt all data placed on your removable device
- Keep the encryption key secure
